Mallory Backs Out of Debate

Mallory-Bolton debate a no-go

Howard Wilkinson is reporting that the Mallory camp is refusing to debate. This was predictable, given what happened on Newsmakers.

The Bolton campaign, Phenice wrote, has teamed up with "Mallory Haters.''

How about a quick summary post of all gathered documentation -- for those of us who have trouble keeping track of everything in this blog.

For our convenience, please indicate when statements are directly derived from documentation, and provide; otherwise, please indicate clearly when you are stating hypotheses.

Thank you.

Dean,
Please go home.
If we want to see your biased crap we will go to your crappy blog.
The links on this blog are the best. Spoon feeding you is a waste of time.
You pimp for N8 and Mallory.

Picture the Truth Squad asking Dean to annotate the business on his blog. He'd tell us where to go!

Memo to Dean: you have ample time on your hands, way more than the supporters & helpers on this blog, because we have jobs that provide a paycheck.

Get a 6-pack, sit down & go look. Give yourself an afternoon to do your verifying on what's contained in this blog.

Don't know why you're overly concerned so late in the scheme of things. You & your sole-mate, N8 have already claimed this blog a farce (not!).

Dean, what type of proof are you demanding on phone calls that were made? How do you want the conversations to be referenced so you're satisfied with the verification?

Funny, you're the only one who's having trouble keeping track. The rest of us are rocking & rolling.

Did anyone look up how much the SEIU, er, the Citizens4Mallory campaign paid Dan Phenice to work the Mark4Mayor election? That boy is high dollar! He'll go on the list if he fails with Dale.

Oops! New slogan: Fail with Dale!

Just what do you mean, "our convenience", Dean? The folks here don't owe you anything. Since when do you have entitlement over the blogsphere? Not here! Move on! Check back later for breaking news alerts.

Advice: Get N8 to help you.

Dean,

Could you be more specific? What do you want info on? CityLink? The Impeachment? The Lawsuits? The appointments to the Empowerment Zone and the connection to Genesis Redevelopment?

We have different contributors to this board and we have a boatload of comments. Most of the posts contain links that you can read, and many of the comments are referenced too.

This board goes back months with pages of posts. If you try to be more specific maybe somebody could help you. CityLink alone is a saga unto itself.

It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to have a recap summary with a timeline, for people new to the issues or checking out this board for the first time. I am not sure I have the time right now for that novel. Brevity isn't my strongpoint either. Anyone want to take a crack at that you can email me at ImpeachMallory@yahoo.com.

In the meantime Dean if you would be so kind, please be more specific in your request.

Well, there is a lot of material here. I'm late to the game. Despite your anonymoust commenters above, I have been trying to be open.

Now, I did not enter this blog with a predisposition to agree with it. I remember running into Dale's father at City Hall, shortly after the impeachment. He was hurt. I think Mr. Mallory is a good man. It created a bias.

When I interviewed Petersen, I got some responses I wasn't expecting. I tried to get Dale Mallory to write a column responding, but I must conclude now that he is not going to do that.

When I found the blog, as I have already said, I found it to be mixing facts with opinions. Nate would take the opinions forwarded here, and spin them in an opposite direction.

I always separate ideas from the person who thinks them.

Leaving aside anyone's personal opinion of Nate, why his theories about your motives are any more or less valid than your opinions about Dale Mallory's motives.

But you do have a large body of evidence here. It does seem, however, directed towards insiders.

So perhaps an annotated timeline would be good.

Take, for example, "Genesis Redevelopment." I don't remember that stuff. Just know Phil Heimlich was against it when he was on City Council.

Then there is something about the million dollars in a house. Allegations that the Beattys are threatening people as part of the Cincinnati Empowerment Corporation.

Then there's CityLink.

Doesn't Phil Heilmich (and his buddies Weiland and Finney) fit in with this somehow, but on Mallory's side? I'm having trouble keeping track.

There are many posts on the blog that just seem to be celebrating perceived victories, or making fun of Dale. They get in the way of my attempt to understand.

That's some of the stuff I've published criticizing this site.

But let me try to be specific and consise:

Imagine a new person comes to the site. You wand this person to understand the real meat of your issue. Can you create a one post summary, with links, that neatly outlines your case?

If so, such a page might be permantently linked on your sidebar as a constant resource.

OK Dean, I'll accept the point that this story is complex and there are several story lines that seem to weave together into a tapestry of power and deceipt. The Truth Squad is putting together the pieces as best they can. Genesis was 6 or more years ago, and the same Beatty and Mallory names keep popping up. The Empowerment Zone seems like Genesis on steroids, again with the same Beatty/Mallory names. Same thing with the West End Community Council.
This cozy and profitable arrangement of the POVERTY PIMPS may have gone unnoticed until CityLink popped up.
CityLink raised the awareness of many citizens that were blissfully unaware of the corruption that was woven into these organizations.
Your conversation with Wm. Mallory Senior created a bias and sympathy in your mind.
Wm. Senior is a very personable and savvie politician. He seems honest, respectable and easy to talk to. He IS EASY TO TALK TOO.
Aside from his wife of 50 years, he had at lease 3 other "families" at the same time. Joe, WM. Jr and Dwayne were the product of those other families. This type of thing is common in OTR and the West End, but is does offend many middle class senseabilities. The reason I mention this is to report that benign old Bill is much more complex than the man you met a few months ago. This man created a "family of the year" myth. The Mallorys are master liers, spinners and myth makers.
Their denial of thier move to Mt. Airy is just another example of that commitment to the myth despite all evidence.
I listened to the Peterson podcast on your website. I also read his affidavit on the Colbert case. I also read his documentation of the process he used as Hearing Committee Chair for Dale's impeachment. I also read his Enquirer letters that can be found on the notocitylink blog. Peterson was a long time friend of the Mallory's. He tried to get answers on from the Mallorys on CityLink and was stonewalled. Dale made and broke promises in November. Dale promised a December CityLink vote and he lied.
The tipping point for Peterson and the WECC came in January when Dale tried to "undo" the December vote against CityLink. He also tried to "undo" the new memberships that were paid for in good faith by concerned West End residents.
Virtually the entire neighborhood saw that Dale had his own personal agenda. They saw Dale had no intention of following the will of the WECC body. It was just a matter of time before someone wrote up the petition to impeach.
When Dale was impeached, he sued everyone in sight, including the sheriffs and police brass and 10 unidentified policemen. He falsified a plaintiff's address as 925 Dayton Street and that property had a sordid history that shows Dale's corruption on so many levels.
When Dale listed his 2 sources of income in his candidate filing, he listed 1)GE retirement and 2)Empowerment zone consultant.
Just as we started to look at the EZ, Howard Beatty murdered Kabaka Oba at CityHall.
Dale appointed Howard as the WECC representative to the EZ. Dale also appointed his brother George and George's wife. These characters then HIRE Dale as consultant!
Now we go to the EZ and ask questions. They have 6 employees and a large pool of consulting budget money. All told $1.1million on government money for no real output. POVERTY PIMPS is a pretty apt definition of that scam.
Genesis was Directed by Dale and the Beatty clan. $800 thousand dissappeard from Genesis.
These organizations were/are the source of big bucks for the Mallory Mafia.
GE employees get to retire when they meet an age+yrs of service formula. Dale doesn't qualify.
The sanitized CityLink story is tastefully told on notocitylink.com.
Heimlich and the Mayor are players here. They want CityLink as transitional housing for the overcrouded jails. Heimlich's father gave Dale $1,000 for Dale's campaign. What's republican Heimlich supporting Dale for? CITYLINK. Oh, by the way, CityLink's lawyer is Tim Burke, the same democratic chair. Tim Burke tried to get Dale endorsed. When he failed , he wrote a personal endorsement letter.
That's an overview as brief as I can make it.
The Mallory Machine is built on serious lies. Their wholesome image is a myth. We really didn't want to go there, but when the Mayor continuously claims he lives in the West End in his supportive CityLink comments, the TRUTH SQUAD must tell the whole story.
As we find more relavent facts we will report to this wonderful blog.

"Take, for example, "Genesis Redevelopment." I don't remember that stuff. Just know Phil Heimlich was against it when he was on City Council."

Dean, be thankful you don't remember. This was just the start of the endless flow of taxpayer dollars to crooks (Pettus-Brown, Shear & Shear, etc.)

When the mess of financial misappropriations slammed City Council, Heimlich, Portune & DeWine were strongly against funnelling anymore money into the Genesis venture. That didn't wash with Jackie Shropshire & the Kirklands. They wanted the money & they wanted it straightaway.

Then, in walked Dale Mallory, as the newly elected president of WECC. He was going to clean up everything, including Genesis. Heimlich, Portune & DeWine dropped their guard on the Genesis financing. Ultimately, Dale claimed he was going to shut down Genesis. We know that didn't happen, as they have an office on Mound Street.

You need "proof" on this, it's all out there in the Enquirer archives. Google Genesis & it's out there. You don't have to go to Newsbank for the summaries. I had to refresh my memory on some of the smaller facts, but this was the messiest situation I think I've ever seen. Scandal, corruption, under the table dealing, every crooked thing one could think of.

I believe the Dean is seriously and sincerely seeking the truth. In doing such he is earning the ire and rankle of people who would questions his loyalties, possibly label him a 'traitor' to them (on either side or by his affiliations), whereas he has sought for a long time to open the truth up for so many. The Dean of Cincinnati that evolved into The CincinnatiBeacon has been a mainstay for news and events, even if you take out all anonymous commentary, and provided something we have lacked since the Enquirer 'spun' out of control (perhaps certain elements helped with the spin?). Compare please, ImpeachMalloryBlog people and Jason, in a sworn oath to each other and off the blog, in a face to face meeting, who has supported CincinnatiBeacon as well as people who may support West End efforts---not just City Link or anti-CityLink, but various aspects of what is moving and shaking with the West End and the interactive communities-----with their dollars and written information contributions; might surprise you that the tide holds some of the same characters and interested parties. Do not trust wholly right off....take the time to learn each other. These are citizens meeting with minds and hearts coming forward to rework and develop their communities with a voice that is their unique voice. They contribute an hell of a lot more than opinion, they contribute their lives, also; and some of them do have the last name Mallory. Many more have a great cross section of names and heritages that make this city so very awesome and powerful, powered by citizen iniiatives that succeed.

Perhaps the very hardest thing for all of us here is our anonymity and how we reconcile that with truth and facts, steering away for the hype, anger and spin. Dialogue with names tends to runs much better. As people, no matter our complexion of heritage, we look for people to admire, look up to, and work with in a positive orientation. What we ascribe to those idols at times is glitz and glamour, and we buy their spin many times without question, often forgetting that their feet are as clay and calloused as ours are; they are people with fears and foibles, too. We can't be like the fictional Chance/Chauncey Gardner in the Peter Sellers movie 'Being There'. The last scene shows Chance/Chauncey approaching the height of his 'thereness' walking out on the water…..for most of us performing that liquid walk usually has the ice breaking beneath us. In the case of Cincinnati, and the disagreements of both sides, hopefully we have people who are there to counsel us before we attempt this feat of legerdemain, or to console and help us after our breakthrough and we are cold and weary.

The debate or dialogue about or between Eve and Dale is really not about them --- it's about the wants and needs of citizens and whether or not those wants and needs are critical enough for CITIZENS to go to the polls on Tuesday and make the difference. Stats I placed over at the Beacon the other day show that people have no party loyalty to either major spinners.
That is where the battles are to be won.........rarely with us bloggers. In the streets and at THE POLLS ---very empowering place to be anytime.

Glad to be here!

And that's what the Dean needs to understand, and that's why I phrased that the way I did. You provided the power punch because it HAS happened to you, also. You've been there in this event.

The Dean and many of his friends have been on the end of threats, too. He took care of it the way he saw fit....and I do not remember it being advertised blatantly in the Beacon. The threats to him are wrong. The WE folks have to do it differently, because it IS a different set of constructs in play.

Many people in the West End and connective communities have been subjected to light and heavy threatening. There is no doubt there from the people I have gotten to know over the last 2 years and wasn't even asking about the matter.

In therapy for abuse, in detangling the vines that clog and choke a person mentally, spiritually and physically in any dysfunctional relationship, one of the major steps to health is making sure we talk to others. While the talking to others may be anonymous herein, it is for the present and future better health of the communty, as individuals and collectively. And right now, keeping it anonymous IS the best way to get back health for a large area. The dialogue for health within closed ranks is very necessary for the health of a larger region of the city. What you exhibit is the right of the citizen to question impacting layers of governance and come to understand the process by which the many layers run. Therefore you get facts and answers.

After viewing several blogs and debates in the last few weeks my conclusion is that those that use the playground bully spin and philosophy of namecalling are to be understood in the context of their fears and what they will lose. It's not the spin of being AGAINST or ANTI- anything or persons, it is being FOR or PRO your family, neighborhood, position.

Intimidation leading to loss of life is heinous. Calling out and letting others know these practices exist, anonymously or not, takes a wider measure of courage. Keep focused on your neighborhood and what your committed community needs to achieve. Pay little attention to us outside of the neighborhood here. I'm included within that statement. But never be afraid to ask for help from your friends. No matter who you are; sometimes in NOT giving you what you demand a friend gives you their best gift - watcing out for you. Many have done that on this blog when one or another gets a little more than riled. Your mission will work for the betterment of ALL in WE and CINCINNATI. ---JAE

Dean,

I'll share with you my thoughts based on what I have observed. They're just thoughts and opinions derived from actions I have either witnessed or have very good reason to believe happened.

I have read a good portion of this blog, discussed the issue with others involved and drawn personal conclusions from certain activities of Mr. Dale Mallory. It is the last part that I base my opinion most strongly on.

Related to City Link:
I am against City Link in its current proposed form. Several factors led me to this opinion. First, the fact that the private money for this project was all coming from sources outside the neighborhood seriously concerned me. (I should take a minute to note that I am not a resident or investor in the West End). Beyond that, I had serious concerns with the size of the facility, particularly when compared on a per capita basis with other facilities, such as Path Link. Secondly, while the proposed area is already somewhat blighted, I don't believe drawing the proposed CityLink clients into a neighborhood with 3 schools in the area would be a good idea.

Beyond that, though, I think some CityLink opponents exaggerate the impact the facility might have. Drawing a 1.5 mile radium around the location as a suggested 'impact zone' is rediculous. The business district and OTR have coexisted in much less space for years. Madisonville and Indian Hill border each other, and while there is some border impact, nobody is suggesting a 1.5 mile impact radius.

So, my take is that while I don't agree with all the crackpots against CityLink, I still think that it would cause more harm than good, so I am opposed to it.

So I guess the secong thing is Dale Mallory. For the life of me, I can not understand why the president of any community council would refuse to allow the community to speak their voice regarding a major devisive issue in the community. Something was notright there from the start. While the conspiracy theorists were throwing around words like 'corruption', I tried to get some facts and form my own opinions.

The reality is that most community councils very likely break their own rules all the time. The fact that Dale may or may not have followed any parlimentary rules doesn't mean a squirt of piss to me. What concerns me is the way he acted. He is the president of the community council. If enough people - residents- of the community are upset about something, he should listen. Instead, he hid behind rules. The way he hid behind them would be consistent with an inividual trying to railroad a controversial project without opposition.

Dale certainly had the abilty to close the official meeting, yet stay and dialogue with residents about their concerns. He chose not to.

Finally, when impeached, rather than address the concerns of the people, he hid behind lawyers and rules. The dismissal of his legal actions ended that embarrasment.

I watched Dale on newsmakers. He did not impress me at all. My opinion based on his actions is as follows:

Dale grew up in the shadow of the success of his father and now his brother. I believe that he missed the real work that his father put in, and came to believe that he didn't really have to work hard to be a successful business man. I also believe, based on watching him speak that he is of below average intelligence, but that he has a somewhat natural talent for double-speak (how could you not, growing up a Mallory). I don't think any of this makes him a de facto bad person. I do believe it makes him a disastrous choice for a political representative.

Watchdog is right. Roberts Rules and parlimentary procedure don't mean dick. It simply comes down to denying the people a vote again and again. October, November, December and January. Come February is was ass-kickin time.

Dale Mallory should win the primary, not because he is the best person, not because he is smart, not even because he understands politics, but because people are lazy. People will not do the necessary research in order to educate themselves ABOUT THE MAN OR WOMAN RUNNING AND THE ISSUES. People don't really understand the issues, they are told what the issues are by the same politicians that lie to them when they get into office. How many times have you heard a politician say read my lips and do exactly the opposite of what he has told his constituency without reprisal. The people will not keep the politicians accountable so they do whatever they damn please. Dale Mallory will win because the people reading this blog are a minority and the majority that will vote on tuesday don't know a damned thing.

Mallory has name recognition. Bolton has a very motivated cadre of supporters (republicans, democrats and independants). If Bolton loses all those folks will go for the republican in November.
The anti-Dale croud will continue to dig all the dirty history.
Dale has absolutely ZERO qualifications aside from his name.
By November Dale may be in jail.

"As your State Representative, Dale Mallory will: Fight to end corruption in State Government."

That's no joke. He's still claiming to be community council president AND the misspelling of coordinated isn't mine. It's misspelled on the Hello card!
