..and the Walls tighten....

A great article in today's Enquirer.

And, also related.

Tick, Tick, tick......

What amuses me is that the EZ folks were taking it soooo EZ, living the plushbottom style, that they didn't bother to collect the debt or help with some debt reconstruction, consolidation, refinancing & all that business.

It wasn't until the Truth Squad turned that famous spotlight on them that they decided it was time to collect the bets:

A0603922 EZ v. My 3 Chefs, filed 4/28/06

A0605924 Eandi Construction 7/7/06
A0606446 C & H Renaissance 7/27/06
A0606603 Frends Electric 8/1/06
A0606604 Lloyd's Contractors 8/1/06

In 2005, they filed only one suit - A0500351 ADA Investment 1/13/05, for a $200,000 mortgage. That case has been settled & the proceeds divvied up.

This proves they've been sitting on their plushbottoms, enjoying the spoils of the working people, paying taxes, outrageous gasoline prices, utility bills thru the roof, the grocery stores poking it to us, revaluation of our properties for larcenous real estate taxes, etc.

Have you had enough yet? Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

Simone's was a good effort. I went there a couple of times. It was a really good place, in the really wrong place. I like the effort though. It takes some ventures like Simone's to turn a corner like that around.

More than the location, for me, the poor service and the "sometimey" food attributed to Simone's demise. The couple of times I had gone to the establishment, I can't say that I felt "unsafe", per se, outside of the restaurant. When I got IN there, errr, different story--and not UNSAFE--just real, "not-so-much...."
