I was working on a post but I am slammed today and have nothing until tonight or tomorrow.
A side issue: Where in the hell is Blanchard? Does he think he can rest on his laurels just because he made it to the pinnacle of the Mallory-impeaching masses?
I have seen it happen all the time. Guys get made, they go soft and lose the desire. Staying on top is just as tough as getting there. We are the world wide leader in impeach Mallory news. That still means something to people Mr. Blanchard. Greatness such as ours comes with high expectations. I am calling Blanchard out.

I pasted thes "Socko stories" from the Daen's blog. There must be a ton of crooked deals these guys did. Chime in if you know about them:

Yes indeedy, Socko’s Ghost, Socko Wiethe & Sid Weil were always tightening the choker chain on Daddy Mallory & Bill Bowen. Most of the time, one couldn’t find Senator Bowen. Not even his constituents. Basically the only time you saw him was when it was election time. Then, he’d show up, shaved, barbered, smelling sweet & looking like a dandy. Daddy Mallory showed up in the wards when he was called on the carpet by the bosses & was ordered to get out there & talk with the folks.
When the folks knew he was going to visit a neighborhood, they’d roll out the BBQ grills, cook up a nice All-American feast, everyone would break bread, listen to political updates & everything would be swell, hunkey-dory. Generally, Mallory would drag Bowen with him, seeing these 2 boys were always in the dog house.
One of Socko & Sid’s smartest moves at that time was Rep. Helen Rankin. The late Rep. Rankin was a hard working, honest woman, busted down barriers & she got her constituents exactly what they wanted & needed. Mrs. Rankin didn’t play dirty politics, nor hanky panky. She took her job very seriously. I was deeply saddened when she retired & devastated when she passed away. She was Cincinnati’s heroine in Columbus.
That is true that Daddy Mallory wanting to conceal his bribe money. Not only did Socko get dibs off License Bureaus & that came close to being a huge scandal, real close - Socks was also on the take on liquor licenses.
Politics compared to today, that was chump change & the politicians insured the police & their families were well taken care of at Christmas time. Widows of police officers & the children raked in over the holidays. Firefighters, too. That’s just how it went. If those boys weren’t stretching the law as to be outrageously illegal, the police let them go. Why create a mess & have ‘em before Judge Shannon, Judge Schwab, Judge Mestemaker & get the goodies & the extra pocket money cut off?
Now, it’s winner take all & there’s plenty of crooks in the pot thinking they’re going to be a winner. It’s a much different society & money needs to be accounted for. The standards have changed & there’s such a thing as accountablility.
However, the Mallorys think this is still the 60s & the 70s. JFK is still president, the Mallorys are still fighting segregation, Castro’s blockaded & the Berlin Wall goes up tomorrow.
A wise attorney told this to me ages ago - you can push your money & interests from one corner to the next & eventually it will catch up to you. Since that time, I’ve watched Marvin Warner get backed against the wall, Dickie Weiland, & countless others. Then when Daddy Mallory started pimping his products of stud services, the clock started ticking down.
The Mallorys have no one to blame but themselves for the mess they’re in now. No one. Bill Seitz, that ruthless crook, will have to move heaven & earth to clear up this entire mess. There’s too much evidence out there that he cannot ignore & wave off.
Ghost, thanks for the walk down memory lane. In looking back, one sees how wrong it really was & it’s led to what’s taking place today. But back then, the folks were blinded by politics. They trusted their politicians to do them right.

Dean, Socko’s Ghost is right. Parties are a name only. If one won’t endorse & back you, the other one will, if the butter is thick enough on the bread.
Basically, they all do their dirt in the same pot. When there’s like-mindedness amongst a group of them, that’s when the back room door is opened, everyone takes a seat & the deal’s cooked. There’s a little something for everyone after talking over the deal.
If the particular deal on the table isn’t exactly to one’s liking, they’re encouraged to stick around. The promise is that the next time around, we’re going to take care of your pet deal.
In their minds, all these party affiliates (& that includes the lesser parties, too), it’s all about the art of the deal & how much in “commissions & concessions” they can get off the thing. Party affiliation really doesn’t mean spit. You just keep your eye on the cast of characters sashaying into that back room.
Back in Socko Wiethe’s times, when he was a for-real Party Boss, there were the dirty deals, but, gosh gee whiz, at the end of the day, your constituents HAD to be listened to, taken care of & their demands met promptly. If you couldn’t do that, your name didn’t go on the ticket the next time around. That was law, the end of your political career, end of your story.
Dean, don’t be shocked or surprised that there’s a mix of parties at that back room table. That’s been going on for ages. Everyone is scratching each other’s backs.

Friends, some of you never heard of Socko Wiethe. Some of the stuff that's been moved over here from Dean's place is snippets of what I knew about the Hamilton County Dem Party back in those days.
John "Socko" Wiethe was THE PARTY BOSS. He got the name Socko from his extreme athletic days at UC. Not overly tall, but built stronger than a brick wall. Had the attitude to match.
Without a doubt, when Socko Wiethe was Boss, he controlled this town & the politicians who licked his feet to curry favor.

Somewhere on the Dean's blog, Nate trashes Shirley as an unemployed bum.
Shirley is almost 70, a widow that was married to the same man for almost 50 years. Mother of 5, multiple grandmother and great grandmother, even raising a teenage grandson now. Living on a hard earned social security check. Long time activist and "woman of the year". This woman works 24/7 to help the helpless and is a saint.
N8 rants on with outright lies about all of Dale's opponants. All the facts support the Truth Squad. All the lies are told by N8, the EZ and the Mallorys.
If N8 wants to talk about "unemployed bums", just look at Dale. The dude's last job was at GE in the 90's and he was fired for failing their drug tests,
Dale is a serial wife/girlfriend beater/abuser. He lives in his mommies house and has 30 court cases of deadbeat debts.
Calling Dale a bum gives bums a bad name.

Anon 9:18 & 2:12 - I remember when N8 thoroughly trashed Shirley Colbert. And I agree - that lady is a saint. Even while raising her family, she had gainful employment. I know that for a fact. Regardless, she always managed to do charitable work in the West End. Ask any Senior Citizen & the families of the elderly that are left. I trust her completely, without batting an eyelash.

Nate is angry that there are WHITE politcians just as guilty, but no one turns them in.

Don't worry, the detective has tons of physical evidence. Prints, DNA, clothing, 2 eye witnesses, and the perps destination home address.
The top CPD brass has it as well as FBI.
Regarding the latest thug to attack a Truth Squad member - find out the criminal's name, when he's arrested & court case #. We can look up his appearance date & show up before the Judge in full force.
We can get stay away orders & if this bumbling thug doesn't live in the neighborhood, we can pressure the Judge to order him out of the community.
This baloney will not be tolerated & I'm willing to sit in Court with those who have been assaulted in any manner by those ordered by the hierarchy to perform these criminal acts.
