Later in that thread our good friend Nate chimes in, along with his brother. I don't think that they hold Nate in high regard, nor do they the Lawdog or the BCF (Beatty Crime Family). They also talk about the EZ.

Good question. Business has been off for one thing.
JB is under a spotlight for another. A JB is really a cockroach that hides when the light hits.
Another interesting theory: Kabaka Oba has two huge gangsta gun totin' druglord hoods that will be getting out of jail soon.
Oba's two sons will be looking to JB and extract their revenge on him.
JB is a bully that will be bullied by the sons of Oba. His days of ruling the West End with drugs, guns, police protection and Mallory cover are numbered.
Time for Junebug to get out of Dodge and he knows it.

Maybe the IRS is going to auction off the Cockroach BBQ to pay Kenny's tax bill. That ought to be worth about $3. 'Course, there will still be that non-performing EZ "loan."
I heard that Junebug is moving to Florida. His restaurant gets no customers these days. If you sit in his place you are literally waiting for the drive-by to happen with all those plate glass windows. He never got a lot of business anyway. That joint was always a front for his drug money.
With Oba's sons getting out of jail, he has a good reason to leave town. Good riddance. If he goes I wonder who gets to be the new keeper of the Detroit connection into the drug pipeline. I could see some infighting over that.
Verrry interesting comments so far. I came into this story kinda late, but I have found the fact finding thus far very enlightening. I didn't even know Junebugs was closed. It will be interesting to see if it stays that way and if JB really moves to FL. I have enjoyed the HNIC board immensely since I joined, alot of good dialogue. BTW, anyone know when Haleyes.org will be up? I know I have been bugging about that, but time is so limited.

That was a burning question with me while riding in the back of a truck, clanging a cowbell thru the West End, City West, Downtown & OTR. Wow, that was a real treat for me. Got to ride around, see the sights & give residents a shout out. It was a blast.
I looked at the restaurant hours painted on the door, looked at my watch & I couldn't figure it out. Wednesday. Before 7 PM. Folks flush with cash - social security, retirement, & the fine dining establishment locked up like a jail.
No sign on the door "On Vacation". No sign on the door "Gone Fishing.
Empty lake, empty street, empty choke & puke greasy spoon haven for food poisoning.
That joint is a perfect spot for a drive by that would never get solved. The windows of this place have been whitewashed or something. A perfect front for drug trafficking.

I thought his buddy Harold Cleveland bought that building. The ReMax shingles are still bolted to the building. However, if anyone will find a way to make a tax attachment, it'll be the IRS. This will be worth watching.
Thanks for the newest stories - I had no idea that fat JB was entertaining the idea of moving to Florida. Hmm. Would pay him to lead a rather legal life down in there. There's folks down there who have the illegal markets all sewn up & they don't like encroachers.
I had heard that Kabaka had grown sons who ran afoul of the law, but it never crossed my mind that they'd even up scores. This is a theory that's definitely worth watching.
For those who were waiting for me to file a report, sorry, I got stuck in something else last night & I had to run after neighborhood criminals this morning, again.
The car caravan was definitely a blast. People were very enthusiastic & supportive. CPD left us alone, Sheriff's Deputies gave us a big wave, the construction workers gave us a hearty shout, the elderly enjoyed seeing us roll thru, Moms collecting their children from day care gave us waves & cheers, gents out & about gave us the thumbs up, it was great. Join us on Saturday for another caravan to another community.

Apparently, some of the people over there don't appreciate this blog "taking" their stuff, even though they've been given lots of credit & coverage. Hopefully, they'll understand there are some who do it in furtherance of correcting the wrongs that have been done, not like some who rip the material & spin it in a different direction.
Yeah, I got that impression that the Drama Dwarf & his little bro, Little E, aren't popular at all. Who knew? To hear the Dwarf chatter, he's the greatest thing since sliced bread. Oh yeah right.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Both forums are covering the same issues and both forums have some of the same people commenting on the issues.
Mina, I was going to ask the same question. I wanted to check the jail & then the state joint.
I ran a Google, hoping the news reports on Kabaka would yield the name of his kids. I was aware he had adult sons, but I never knew their names.
If anyone can help out, it would be very much appreciated. Until then, I'll dive into some other options.
Gamba Oba is up in Lebanon until November 2007 on drugs, weapons & burglary.
Ade Oba is up in Dayton until March 2008 on drugs & weapons charges.
This may sound macabre, but I had to go to the County's Probate Court & look up Kabaka's kids from the estate records.
That gives lardass Junebug ample time to get out of Dodge & disappear in Florida. However, don't think for 5 seconds that the Oba brothers haven't made connections in the inside. Time will tell if they made buds who'll get out soon to take care of business. That happens quite often.

Since we were on the topic of Kabaka's sons, a few mentioned the top players with the Tot Lot.
Jimmar Long is the only one who'll be released anytime soon - October 2007. The other famous dudes are locked up in the Big House anywhere from 4 to 8 years.
Dale Mallory thought he successfully ran them out of business. That never happened. There's other people keeping the legacy alive.
It's a fact - when a crop gets locked up, there's other faces to take the places.
Good morning Carstairs, I tried to look up Jimmar Long in the DRC database but couldn't find him. I looked him up on courtclerk website and found the charges he was locked up for, I thought it was interesting that he was charged in '04 but wasn't actually sentenced until like May or June of this year. Could you post the address for his DRC page if you are so inclined? Thanks.
