CityLink Wins Appeal

Porkopolis is blogging about it. CityLink won their appeal today in front of Judge Winkler. What a sad decision for the City. The decision will be appealed.

At this point I am at a loss because I can't comprehend the logic behind the judges ruling. Why even have zoning laws? Do zoning laws only apply to those without money, power and connections? If CityLink isn't a prohibited "Community Service Facility", than that word has no use or real definition in the zoning code.

If you have enough money, power and connections I guess anything can go through. It is no wonder why people leave this city.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Andy Warner is cheering on his blog about it, but he's taking some flak from people, including the Dean. Two other folks hopped in & named names of the generous benefactors.

This latest setback just sucks out loud. However, I believe the No to CityLink people & their supporters have strong backs & tough skin.

Another update: Dohoney went to another pot of money to scrounge up $50,000 to pay the Clerk of Courts for parking ticket fees. He decided not to pinch the City's Retirement Fund. Stay tuned on what City Council does with the Mayor deciding to steal from the retired folks.

Don't give up Truth Squad! It's time to reload & hold them off.

Welcome back Mr. Dallory. You've been missed terribly.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

That judge had to really stretch the law. I can't see his ruling standing up to appeal.

I think we need to get some more info about hte appeal. Rumor has it that Winler is being appointed to a higher court. Is it posible that our appeal will go infront of Winkler again?

I doubt that Winkler could hear his own appeal.
